FIELD: metallurgy and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating of multilayer lining in three modes: drying mode, nominal and forced modes; dipping multibarreled burning device into ladle for depth H=(6-10)d(r), where d(r) is diameter of burning device outlet section; prior to initiating drying process, covering ladle with closure and leaving gap of 50-100 mm size; removing moisture by means of multibarreled air ejectors during drying process. All heating modes are performed with different coefficients of excessive oxidizers, flare temperatures and gas mass flow rate of burning device. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of drying and heating processes. 5 dwg
