FIELD: metallurgy, working of casting ladles. SUBSTANCE: lining of casting ladle is heated with the aid of burner to temperature corresponding to temperature of intake of molten metal and working medium is removed beyond limits of ladle by convective method. Excessive pressure of working medium is created inside ladle by change of section area of gas-disposing means. Burner is placed inside ladle at distance of 0.001- 0.2 m of its face from cover and tongue of burner is oriented towards ladle bottom. Heating is carried out in two stages. At first stage temperature of lining is kept within range of 100-400 C with provision of pressure of working medium from 0.5 to 30.0 Pa inside ladle in the course of 60-80% of heating time. At second stage during rest of heating time temperature of lining is maintained within range from 800 to 1200 C and pressure of working medium is kept within bounds from 15.0 to 110.0 Pa. Time of drying and heating of lining of ladle is decreased thanks to provision for uniform distribution of thermal energy over surface of ladle and intensive removal of working medium. EFFECT: decreased drying and heating time of lining, increased efficiency of process. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 2 tbl
