FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: this method is used when necessity arises to replace password of automobile security system including transponder switch, immobilizer and engine control unit. Random number is generated in one of system elements and is put into its storage and then at least part of random number is put into storage of other security system elements as system password.
