FIELD: underwater swimming and lifesaving jobs. SUBSTANCE: method consists in using the oxygen-nitrogen medium at content of oxygen of 14±1% and monitoring parameters of this medium. Pressure in submarine compartment is increased and is maintained at this level so that partial pressure of oxygen in mixture corresponds to 20-21 kPa to obtain proper breathing mixture for submariners and avoid hypoxia during endurance cruises. To ensure safety of submariners, decompression is started 45 to 60 days after cruise and is performed by linear reduction of pressure to normal atmospheric pressure for 10-15 at simultaneous ventilation of compartments with air. EFFECT: fire safety during endurance cruise of submarines. 2 cl
