METHOD FOR CREATING CONDITIONS FOR LIFE AND ACTIVITIES IN SPECIAL NAVAL PRESSURISED MODULE Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B63C11/36 A62D9/00 A61G10/02

Abstract RU 2520906 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to underwater navigation physiology and can be used for the purpose of creating conditions for submariners' life and activity in the period of endurance of submarines. A method for creating conditions for an individual's life and activity in a special naval pressurised module involves using a flame-resisting moderate hypoxic oxygen-nitrogen medium containing oxygen 16±1%, with its parameters to be controlled; for the purpose of providing a higher submariners' fitness to work a gas pressure is increased in a submarine compartments up to 120 kPa with an oxygen partial pressure maintained at the moderately hypoxic level of 18.6-19.8 kPa, and a nitrogen partial pressure - at 100.2-101.4 kPa. Increasing the submariners' fitness to work effectively if staying under conditions of the moderate hyperbaric hypoxia for a long time is ensured by activating processes of adaptation and increase of the functional body reserves.

EFFECT: safer decompression of the submariners with 10-15-minute linear pressure reduction to the atmospheric one with simultaneous air ventilation of the compartment is ensured by reducing a nitrogen supersaturation caused by the nitrogen partial pressure reduction in the medium as compared to its prototype to the level of 100,2-101,4 kPa.
