FIELD: fibre production technology. SUBSTANCE: device is used for cooling of quartz pipe in production of optical fibre material by way of modification of chemical settling from steam phase. Nozzle is supplied with cooling agent and is made up of at least two sections which are separated, thus allowing for removing quartz pipe without passing its end through nozzle. Made along internal surface of nozzle sections are holes intended for emitting of cooling agent. Cooling agent is collected by receiver and is directed through discharge pipe into reservoir. Application of aforesaid embodiment of device ensures uniform cooling of quartz pipe. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 5 dwg
