FIELD: light conduits. SUBSTANCE: the first quartz tube with the first thermal conductivity is formed. The first layer of the shell and the core are precipitated in it. Preliminary tube is formed by heating the first quartz tube, which serves as the second layer of the shell. The second quartz tube with the second thermal conductivity lower than the first thermal conductivity is formed. The preliminary blank is placed in the second tube, and the third layer of the shell is formed from the second tube by heating. The shell thermal conductivity may decrease from its inner surface to the outer one. The shell viscosity may grow in the direction from the optical axis to the blank outer surface. EFFECT: prevented growth of optical loss at manufacture of blank of fibre-optic light conduit and withdrawal of fibre from it. 9 cl, 7 dwg, 1 tbl
