METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING NEUTRAL GAS BY MEANS OF GAS TURBINE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed device can be used at processing and in emergency for filling in and blowing through spaces with neutral (inert) gas in explosion hazard installations. Neutral gas is produced by organizing burning process before turbine with excess air and dividing flow into two parts. One of parts is directed to do required work, and fuel is fed into the other part to provide burning until oxygen is completely burnt out. This part is cooled by passing through heat exchange device , for instance, by water. Device for producing neutral gas has main members of gas turbine plant, namely turbine, compressor, combustion chamber and fuel feed and control systems and is furnished with additional combustion chamber. Spaces of combustion chamber at one side are placed in communication with space before turbine and with fuel feed line, and at other side, with neutral gas consumer through hear exchanger device. Water from pump is used as cooling agent. EFFECT: increased economy and pressure of neutral gases. 3 cl, 1 dwg
