IGNITION SYSTEM VIBRATOR Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2138679 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; ignition system of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed vibrator can be used as emergency switch of ignition system and in heating-and-ventilating and prestarting device for igniting working mixture and in ignition coil testers. Vibrator has switching transistor whose emitter is connected with case and collector-emitter junction is placed in primary circuit of ignition system. Vibrator has also capacitor, transformer with two windings and resistors. Transformer primary winding is connected in series with collector-emitter junction of transistor. One of leads of transformer primary winding is connected with transistor collector, and other lead, with primary winding terminal of ignition coil. Capacitor is connected in parallel with transistor and series-connected primary winding of transformer. Secondary winding of transformer is placed between transistor base and one of resistor terminals. Second terminal of resistor is connected to point of connection of additional resistor and other terminal of ignition coil primary winding. Additional capacitor is placed capacitor is placed between case and point of connection of resistor with secondary winding of transformer.
