FIELD: thermionic- emission reactors-converters. SUBSTANCE: thermionic-emission generating element with plane-cylindrical configuration of electrodes has fuel-emitter unit in the form of short cylinder with fuel core and emission shell. Side and one of its butt surfaces are used as emitter of thermal emission converter. Another butt surface is connected to commutation strap. Collector is manufactured in the form of cylindrical shell with flat base. Inside fuel core there is positioned L-shaped tube fitted with one nozzle or T- shaped gas-removing tube fitted with two nozzles brought out through butt surface of emitter with commutation strap through which gaseous products of pressure are removed into interelement clearance.
