FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in aerospace engineering and nuclear power engineering when designing highly efficient space nuclear power plants on basis of heat emission reactor-converter. In heat emission reactor-converter electric generating assembly (EGA) consisting of series-connected power generating elements (PGE), with cylindrical electrodes, cylindrical emitter and cylindrical collector separated by coaxial interelectrode gap (IEG), each of which includes ventilated fuel-emitter unit (FEU) including fuel material (FM) based on UO2, enclosed in shell, in space arrangement of switching jumper between first end cover of one PGE and the second end cover adjacent PGE located at distance of H<L, there is cylindrical shell made from same material as PGE tube cylindrical collector, wherein bottom of cylindrical shell being in contact with tube cylindrical collector, is made in form of flat circular ring, coaxially with central pipe GOU in space arrangement of switching jumper safety element is installed, connected to first end cover and passing through hole of said flat circular ring, safety element is made in form of cylindrical shell. Disclosed is second version of device.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of conversion of thermal energy released in fuel-emitter units of electricity assembly, to electric energy conversion cylindrical PGE, reduced probability of condensation UO2 in interelectrode gaps PGE (coaxial and flat) and thereby increasing stability of power characteristics and resource EGA.
