SUBSTANCE: thermionic power generating cell has collector and fuel-emitter assembly in the form of cylinder with fuel core and emitter cladding whose cylindrical side surface functions as emitter of thermionic converter; one of its end parts is connected to switching jumper; fuel core accommodates gas vent whose tube is brought out on one end to end part of emitter cladding incorporating switching jumper; at least some portion of this end part between point of gas-vent tube entrance and that of switching jumper connection is made of ceramic or cermet material.
