FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the volume radical polymerization of monomers of acrylic and/or vinylic order in the presence of water and a cross-linking agent. To the mixture to be polymerized native heparin or chemically modified heparin containing reactive groups at amount 20-200 mcg/ml of the mixture or native or modified glycoseaminoglycans at amount 40-200 mcg/ml are added. Polymerization is carried out by irradiation or the substance initiation. Invention can be used for preparing intraocular implants, contact lens and tear-diverting devices.
