FIELD: transport engineering; snowplanes, are cushion vessels, underwater devices. SUBSTANCE: propulsive device has propeller arranged in protective ring channel provided with double skin and direction control members. Protective ring is made up of alternating over circumference fixed segments and segments-controls. Fixed segments are rigidly connected to each other by cylindrical tubular load-bearing axles on which segments-controls are installed for turning. Load-bearing axles lie in plane of propeller rotation. Nose and tail parts of fixed segments and segments-controls of protective ring are sealed and form inner spaces communicating with channel before and after propeller through perforations in inner skin of segments. EFFECT: increased efficiency of controls and reduced resistance to motion. 3 cl, 7 dwg
