FIELD: synthetic rubber industry, more particularly polymerization of butadiene-1,3. SUBSTANCE: butadiene is polymerized on toluene and n-hexane at 20-80 C by successively adding to solvent butadiene-1,3 to concentration of 10-60% and catalyst complex preformed at temperature ranging from -10 C to +50 C by mixing 2- ethylhexyl magnesium, sodium or potassium tetrahydrofurfurylate and divinylbenzene at magnesium to alkali metal ratio of 0.5-4.0 and magnesium to divinyl benzene of 2-20 and maintaining it for 0.1-5.0 hours in amount of 10-60 moles per ton of monomer with respect to magnesium compound. Method makes it possible to prepare low-molecular polybutadiene having molecular weight not greater than 50,000 and containing more than 60% of vinyl units at low catalyst consumption and high, process rate.
