FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: this device is intended for mechanized recovery of oil from wells. Weight rod is made up of tied together weight members having units for joining to each other. They are provided with longitudinal grooves for location of pulling rope. Weight members are also provided with additional longitudinal holes for passing of flexible member through them for example rope which connects weight members to each other. Aforesaid embodiment of weight rod allows for improving assembling of weight members together and with flexible pulling member due to simplified design of weight members.
