FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: method implies injection of oxygen-containing mixture through injection well and creation of oil oxidizing zone in bed. At temperature of bed above 65 C, created in bed is oxidizing zone with radius of not less than radius R of zone of complete consumption of oxygen in bed with shifting of oxidizing zone in direction towards producing well. Distance (2σ) between injection well and producing well and radius R of zone of full consumption of oxygen is selected from condition of 2σ≥R.. Injection of oxygen-containing mixture is discontinued when oxidizing zone comes to producing well at distance of not less than σ/π,. Application of aforesaid method increases oil recovery and improves safety of operation. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 dwg, 1 tbl
