FIELD: propelling charges used in ammunition, mainly of small arms, for which high loading densities are typical. SUBSTANCE: powder propelling charge contains a mixture two components differing in fractions: elements of coarses fraction and fine-ground igniting compound located in the free space between the elements of the coarser fraction, whose mass makes up 15 to 20% of the propelling charge mass. Powder pulp of black rifle powder is used as the fine-ground igniting compound. The method for manufacture of powder propelling charge consists in mixing of two components differing in fractions of elements in such a way that the elements of the fine fraction are placed in the free space between the elements of the coarser fraction, then the mixture us tightened and fixed in this state. EFFECT: enhanced stability of intra-ballistic characteristics due to improvement of ignition of propelling charge at a high loading density. 2 cl, 1 dwg
