FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mortar rounds propellant charges. Propellant charge of mortar round comprises main ignition charge placed in mine stabiliser extended chamber. Main charge consists of thin mixed fine-grained pyroxyline, filled in extended paper cartridge with metal sleeve at length to diameter ratio of 5.5÷6.5. In casing there is igniter and screwed in central ignition device in form of steel perforated tube with perforation area to surface area ratio of 0.030÷0.035. Central igniting device houses charge of black powder with weight of 5.0÷5.5 % of total weight of powder in main charge.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of charge.
