FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is primarily used to give visual impression of time-dependent length of event of second (target) sequence of frames at second rate of frame change and respective second time interval of images from first (source) frame sequence at first rate of frame change and respective first time interval of images; in the process, at least part of images of target frame sequence are shaped by additive superposition of at least two time-adjacent images of source frame sequence normalized by weight coefficient of intensity; all images of target frame sequence are obtained by superposing at least two images of source sequence individually frame-by- frame normalized by using calculated weight coefficients of intensity. EFFECT: provision for correcting frame-by-frame jitter of images in their reproduction. 15 cl, 18 dwg
