FIELD: non- ferrous metallurgy, particularly refractory lining of vessels for charging, transporting and pouring aluminium and its alloys. SUBSTANCE: lining of vessel for liquid aluminium and its alloys consists two layers of rammed mass of fire resistant concrete with different content of Al2O3. Thickness of inner layer of lateral surface consists 0.85-0.95 of thickness of outer layer contacting with liquid metal. For bottom portion such ratio consists 0.75-0.85. Content of Al2O3 in concrete of inner layer is no less than 82% and in concrete of outer layer - no less than 94%. Thickness of lining of lateral surface of vessel consists 0.09-0.11 of mean diameter of vessel, thickness of lining of bottom portion consists 0.1-0.12 of vessel height. EFFECT: service life period of vessel with such lining increased more than by two times at practically constant volume of vessel, significantly reduced metal losses for oxidation, elimination of Si migration to melt from lining. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
