FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: freshly produced crude oil is stripped to run off fraction from initial boiling point (Ibp) to 185 C. Stripped oil is desalted and distilled to isolate fraction boiling away up to 180 C. The latter is subjected to secondary distillation together with fraction Ibp-185 C taken in amount not exceeding 50 wt %. Secondary-distillation fraction 62-180 C is subjected to hydrofining and reforming followed by compounding reforming product with stripping fraction Ibp-185 C and secondary-distillation fraction.
