FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for revealing pharmaceutically active substances. Effect of substance on interleukin-5 receptor-linked signal-transmission route is evaluated by incubation of investigated substance with cells transformed by recombinant DNA containing reporter gene and regulator sequence and expressing functional interleukin-5 receptor followed by determining concentration of reporter gene product. Selectivity of action of substance on interleukin-5 receptor-linked signal- transmission route is determined by (i) incubating substance under similar conditions with reference cells expressing reference receptor differing from interleukin-5 receptor and transformed by recombinant DNA containing reporter gene and regulator sequence responding to variation in concentration of secondary transmitter depending on reference receptor of signal transmission route and (ii) comparing concentration of reporter gene product in cells expressing interleukin-5 receptor with this concentration in reference cells. EFFECT: facilitated revealing pharmaceutically active substances. 17 cl, 6 dwg, 2 ex
