FIELD: metallurgy, more precisely, processes of metal treatment in ladle with synthetic slag melted in special electric furnace. SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary smelting in furnace if synthetic slag containing more than 15 wt.% of aluminium oxide; supply of melted slag into ladle; pouring into ladle of metal melted in steel-melting unit; deoxidation of metal by additives of silicon and/or aluminium. Prior to pouring of metal into ladle, iron oxides in amount of 1.5-60.0%, in terms of iron, from slag weight in ladle, is placed into ladle too. After filling of metal to ladle capacity, slag is removed, and metal is deoxidized. Supplied additionally to ladle is manganese oxides in amount of 2-30% of iron oxides, in terms of iron and manganese; and oxides in amount of 0.5-8.0% of iron oxides, in terms of iron and chromium. Slag removed from ladle is loaded into furnace for slag smelting. EFFECT: ensured dephosphorization of metal under conditions of low melting loss and saving of manganese and chromium. 4 cl, 3 tbl
