FIELD: manufacture and operation of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: resource according to program of equivalent- cyclic test is set by computation of operational mode of internal combustion engine by formulas obtained with the use of signal-flow graphs. Condition of equivalent-cyclic test is established by due magnitude of resource, revolutions and torque. Check of temperature of internal combustion engine calculated for equivalent-cyclic test and reduced to 3-5 min is performed under this condition. Resource-evaluating operations are conducted under stage by stage completion of operating age and shortened check of permissible temperature at each stage ( resource ), with predicted completion with inspection of shortened check of permissible temperature only at stages when temperature of internal combustion engine exceeds predicted one and with combined completion- predicted for first half of stages of increase of resource and stage by stage for second half of these stages ( resources ). Invention can find use in operations aimed at increase of life of piston two-stroke and four-stroke, rotor and rotor-piston automobile, tractor and boat engines as well as of engines for motorcycles, motorblocks, gas-turbines. EFFECT: decreased time of conducting of resource evaluating operations thanks to increase in their extent of computed part with usage of signal- flow graphs of couplings in body of mathematics and shortened check of permissible temperature. 5 dwg
