FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: coaxial thermoelement has thermocouple wire and is coaxially arranged in tubular metal jacket. The latter is filled with ceramic insulating powder to electrically insulate thermocouple wire from jacket. Tubular metal jacket is built up of first metal jacket with longitudinal weld and second metal jacket with longitudinal weld offset relative to that of first jacket. Thermocouple is formed by welding thermocouple wire to metal jacket in each of two coaxial thermoelements and by joining welded ends of two coaxial thermoelements to form thermojunction. EFFECT: reduced cost and facilitated welding procedure resulting in improved quality of thermocouple. 6 cl, 9 dwg
