PURE ANTIPERSPIRANT STICK Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: cosmetics. SUBSTANCE: gel-like composition for stick contains antiperspirant substance (preferably binding acidic metal salt) dibenzylidene sorbitol as gel-forming agent, and guanidine constituent: guanidine carbonate, aminoguanidine bicarbonate, guanidine phosphate, guanidine hydrochloride, guanidine nitrate, guanidine sulfonate, guanidine bisulfite, guanidine hydrobromide, or their mixture. Composition is prepared as follows: preliminarily mixed are (i) antiperspirant substance with guanidine constituent and (ii) dibenzylidene sorbitol with guanidine constituent (in the latter case, in solvent on high-speed dispersing mixer). The two solutions are then rapidly mixed in multiple-head metering pump avoiding dibenzylidene sorbitol destruction and resulting solution is cooled. According to another version, dibenzylidene sorbitol, guanidine constituent, solvent, and antiperspirant substance are fed into turn-screw extruder to form desired composition.
