METHOD OF RACEMIC BROMCAMPHORA TABLET MAKING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, medicinal industry, chemical-pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing racemic bromcamphora with lactose at the mass ratio = 1:(0.59-0.61) and addition to a mixture potato starch (moisture is 17-20%) and aerosil. Mass ratio bromcamphora : starch : aerosil = 1: (0.14-0.15):(0.039- -0.041). Then method involves wetting of obtained mixture with 95% rectified alcohol preferably at the mass ratio bromcamphora : alcohol = 0.37-0.40. Mixture is stirred and granulated by its passing through a sieve (preferable hole diameter is 1.0-1.5 mm) followed by drying, powdering and tabletting. Advisability of the use of racemic bromcamphora instead levorotatory bromcamphora is specified by the decreased cost (more then 10 times) at constant efficiency of the bromcamphora preparation.
