FIELD: chemistry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of epox wherein olefin is reacted with hydrogen peroxide in liquid phase in the presence of titanium- containing catalyst based on molecular sieve and salt comprising anionic fragments selected from halides, phosphates, nitrates carbonates, carboxylates, hydroxides, and cation selected from cations of ammonium, alkali and alkaline-earth metals. During aging of catalyst, formation of increasing amount of oxygen due to nonselective decomposition of hydrogen peroxide is prevented by addition of gelatin forming agent which contains hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino, and/or phosphoryl groups. Use of such gelatin forming agent makes it possible to maintain selectivity with respect to epoxide in continuous epoxidation unit at desired high level for more prolonged period of time. EFFECT: more efficient epoxidation method. 20 cl, 6 ex, 1 tbl
