FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of epoxidation of olefin which comprises reacting olefin with hydrogen peroxide in liquid phase in reaction zone in the presence of titanium-silicate catalyst and non-basic salt selected from group consisting of neutral salts and acid salts which, when dissolved in water at concentration of 0.1N (or prior to saturation if maximum permissible concentration is less than 0.1N) at 25 C form solution having pH of higher than 4, and in this case, concentration of non-basic salt in liquid phase inside of the reaction zone varies from 0.00001 to 0.02 M. The claimed method makes it possible to increase selectivity with respect to epoxy without undesirable effect on hydrogen peroxide conversion rate. EFFECT: more efficient epoxidation method. 16 cl, 4 tbl
