FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to salt deposits in wells, oil-field collection system, crude oil transportation and storage, and also in oil formations flooded for secondary oil production. Most spread sulfate and carbonate mineral salts including iron-containing components, e.g. iron sulfide, are prevented to form in equipment by way of treating wells with reagent based on 1:1 w/w mixture of nitrilotrimethylphosphonic acid and its trisodium salt with N-sec- methylmethylenephosphite-N-C8-C10-alkylamine. EFFECT: increased reliability of underground equipment operation and its running time is increased by nearly four times. 7 tbl
