FIELD: heat-transfer equipment such as that for nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: steam generator has housing, heat- transfer components such as tube-in-tube exchangers each incorporating two tube sheets for mounting internal and external tubes of heat exchangers, branch pipe for supplying heating medium from top simultaneously to intertube space and to internal tubes, branch pipe for supplying working medium from bottom to annular spaces between external and internal tubes, branch pipes for heating medium and steam outlet. In addition, tube sheets adjacent to intertube space are provided with holes made between fastening holes for external tubes and used to provide communication between ducts formed in intertube space between external tubes and heating medium inlet and outlet headers; internal tubes communicate with same headers and annular spaces, with working medium inlet and steam outlet headers. As an alternative, holes in tube sheets may be connected to heating medium inlet and outlet headers by means of transfer pipes and internal tubes may be made longer than external ones and may communicate with same headers.
