FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rod, ends of which are of cylindrical section and middle part, of hexahedral section and hole one of its edges for rotation of rod about its axis by means of special wrenches. One end of rod is provided with right-hand thread and other end, with left-hand thread. Two bushes move along rod. They are essentially nuts with two hooks directed to one side but positioned in mutually perpendicular planes. Apparatus makes it possible to correct vertebral column deformation, to stabilize vertebras in two mutually perpendicular planes, which prevents front-rear and side displacements of vertebras, and to perform dosed compression or distraction of separate segments of vertebral column.
