FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: sclerometer is used mainly for determination of material tribologic characteristics by method of scratching. Sclerometer body is positioned on base. Stage for specimen is arranged in upper part of body. The latter houses pendulum mounted on axle. Upper end of pendulum rod carries indenter. Provision is made for specimen position lock, as well as for starting and stopping assemblies. Sclerometer has assembly which moves specimen to indenter and specimen motion meter. Axial channel is made in stage for fastening the assembly and specimen. Meter is manufactured as spring-loaded plate mounted on lower face surface of stage for motion. Plate is coupled to motion indicator. Specimen position lock made in form of thrust plate is located in radial channel of stage lower part. Rod section under pendulum axle is made in form of flexible member on which resistance gauges are positioned. Sclerometer provides for enhanced accuracy of tribologic test modeling.
