FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine has pickup unit, flax strip straightening device provided with main conveyor adapted for engagement with flax top and base parts and orienting conveyor. Main conveyor base part and orienting conveyor are mounted on movable frame. Seed and stalk separating unit is mounted on other movable frame. Both frames are coupled through kinematic connection so as to move in opposite directions. During operation of harvesting machine, seed and stalk separating unit and orienting conveyor coupled with this unit through kinematic connection are moved to position, in which zones of arrangement of balls on stalks coincide with working zone of flax comb of combing unit. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved flax yield. 5 dwg
