FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves stripping plants and simultaneously forming two flax strips; spreading strips on field with bases oriented outside; drying stems with seed balls to provide for seed ripening; simultaneously picking up both flax strips while separating seed part of yield from stems and spreading thereof to provide for ripening and obtaining of treated plant fibers; transporting flax heap and reprocessing for producing of seeds; providing processes for preparing and harvesting of treated plant fibers and winding rolls from two strips applied onto one another with top parts and bases being oriented outside. While executing flax harvesting and treated plant fiber preparing operations, two flax strips simultaneously formed by stripping are spread in adjoining relationship or in contacting relationship with one another. During flax stripping, plant strips are spread so as to maintain stable distance between their ball parts. During executing operations following separation of ball part of yield from stems, including operation for winding of treated plant fibers, stable distance between strip base parts is maintained. To maintain stable distance between ball parts of strips spread during stripping operation, stripping height is kept so as to provide for equal distance from plant top to zone of clamping thereof between stripping belts. To provide for stable distance between base parts of strips during executing of operations following operation for separating seed part of yield from stems, each strip is offset with respect to other strip by acting upon bases in direction extending longitudinally of stems. EFFECT: increased seed yield and increased yield of elongated fiber on reprocessing of treated plant fibers.
