FIELD: household equipment. SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner has device for separating mud and dust from air flow. Casing base has depression for receiving protruding step edge and contact portions positioned at both sides of depression for contacting with two adjacent steps A and B and for supporting vacuum cleaner. Rounded portion projects upward from front end of casing to define smooth surface inclined relative to protruding step edge, when during operation vacuum cleaner is sliding up over flight of stairs, and to facilitate sliding motion of vacuum cleaner. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation by reduced probability of damage due to simplified sliding motion of vacuum cleaner. 4 cl, 7 dwg
