FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording electroretinograms on each eye and induced visual potentials as response to reversed chess-board pattern. Mean a/w wave value ratios of the produced electroretinograms and N75, P100, N140 components latency and P100/N140 induced potential amplitude on each eye are calculated. Statistically significant equality of the mean a/w wave values ratios of the produced electroretinograms and inequality of averaged totals of amplitude and time values of induced potential components being obtained, operation is carried out on basivertebral vessels. Statistically significant inequality of the mean a/w wave values ratios of the produced electroretinograms and equality of averaged totals of amplitude and time values of induced potential components being obtained, operation is carried out on carotid vessels. Other values of the indices being observed, neurosurgical intervention is judged not to be indicated. EFFECT: high accuracy in building tactical scheme of surgical intervention. 6 dwg
