FIELD: prosthesis braking articulations; particularly, braking knee articulations for leg prostheses. SUBSTANCE: prosthesis articulation has upper part of articulation, lower part of articulation and hinge axle connecting these parts for turning, and rigidly connected with articulation lower part, and made in form of braking axle. Hinge axle is embraced by braking bushing rotating on it. Braking bushing is rigidly connected with clamping part on which articulation upper part is installed by means of rocking axle. Articulation upper part, when loaded, acts on clamping part and also on braking bushing thus braking the hinge axle. Braking bushing is encircled by circular braking chamber, filled with noncompressed medium, and connected with closed hollow for exchange of liquid. Closed hollow is made in clamping part which is entered by pressing piston loading noncompressed medium. Articulation upper rests on pressing piston. EFFECT: uniform transmission of forces to achieve high braking power. 5 cl, 4 dwg
