FIELD: medical facilities; prosthetics of invalids. SUBSTANCE: braking knee articulation for leg prosthesis has upper part and lower part of articulation, hinge axle rigidly connected with one part of articulation. Rocking lever forming middle part of articulation is installed with its end found on side of unbending, on rocking axis lying parallel, ventral and distal relative to hinge axle, and embracing the hinge axle with its end found on side of bending, and also braking device controlled by foot load. It is provided with closed displacement chamber concentrically embracing, at least, partially the hinge axle over its perimeter and filled, preferably, with hydraulic oil. Displacement chamber is installed in conjugated end of articulation part and separated by hinge axle made in form of rotating piston and rigidly connected with upper part of articulation. Unbending and bending chambers are interconnected with each other by oil pipeline, fully or partially locked by control valve, which is installed in middle part of articulation for motion opposite to action of control valve spring which presses it to open position. When middle part of articulation is turned in direction of bending round rocking axle installed in lower part of articulation, control valve is pressed to its closed position provided in lower part of articulation by resetting device. EFFECT: provided braking device controlled by load for bending with preserved natural phase of walking. 16 cl, 9 dwg
