FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing polytetrafluoroethylene comprising links of perfluoroalkylvinyl ether having 1-4 carbon atoms in perfluoroalkyl chain by suspension polymerization of monomers in aqueous medium at temperature lower than 60 C in the presence of acid salt initiator comprising highly oxidized manganese. Initiator includes salt of permanganic acid, manganic or manganous acid, and the resulting polytetrafluoroethylene comprises links of perfluoroalkylvinyl ether in amount of 0.02 to 0.25 wt %.
