FIELD: physics, radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used direction finding, navigation and detection hardware. Proposed method comprises reception of radio signals by antenna array made up of N identical non-directional antenna elements (AE), N>2, conversion of received radio signals into HF electric signals on intermediate frequency and into digital form. It comprises also producing radio signal phase difference for every AE pair and every frequency sub range by Fourier transform, generation and memorisation of pseudo random sequence and reference magnitudes of signal phase differences and determination of availability of signal with code separation of channels. It includes calculation of the function of dispersion of phase difference discrepancies and determination of preliminary, most probable, direction of radio signal arrival from least sum of squares of discrepancies. Proposed direction finder additionally comprises mode selector unit, second setting bus, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th memories, 2nd and 3rd multipliers, 2nd and 3rd adders, modulus computation unit, maximum determination unit and mode selector unit.
EFFECT: determination of radio signal azimuth and angle of location.
