FIELD: optical processors. SUBSTANCE: invention discloses method and device in which plurality of shifted beams with constant level of at least one wavelength of arbitrary wave mode is superposed over at least one sequence of modulated input beams, which total power in at least one is not phased to plurality of shifted beams. Power of interference image, which is produced by this operation is detected in order to generate at least one output of said position. Output levels define type of operation. When total input power is greater than power of plurality of shifted beams, output phase alters. When they are equal, output is zero. This feature is also used to provide NAND logical function.
