FIELD: semiconductor converter engineering; static power converters. SUBSTANCE: power unit has sealed case filled with easily boiling fluorine-containing intermediate liquid coolant wherein semiconductor power devices with finned heat sinks are immersed. Heat-transfer condenser mounted above is connected to vessel through steam line and condenser. Shielding layer of silicone liquid is provided above intermediate coolant filling the case. Density of silicone liquid layer is lower by 40- 50% and its boiling point is higher by 20-30 C compared with those of intermediate coolant. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of converter, reduced consumption of costly intermediate coolant. 2 cl, 1 dwg
