FIELD: pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention describes the controlled-release drug solid pharmaceutical composition for oral use. The composition is designed for intake of drug by the decreased daily dose schedule. The therapeutic component of the composition is a drug exhibiting the water solubility less 1 part per 30 parts of water. In the mixture with the therapeutic drug the composition has alginic acid water-soluble salt, chelate salt of alginic acid and an organic carboxylic acid to improve the solubility of the drug. In the preferable variant of the invention the composition has clarithromycin dosed form for a single intake per a day.
