AQUEOUS DISPERSIVE PAINT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2142975 C1

FIELD: manufacture of paint work materials. SUBSTANCE: claimed paint is intended for protective decorative external and internal coloring of buildings and structures over brick, concrete, plastered, wood and other porous surfaces, over primed metals and also over old paintwork coatings. Described is aqueous dispersive paint comprising aqueous 50% copolymeric acrylic emulsion of methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate and methacrylic acid or copolymeric styrene acrylic emulsion of n-butyl acrylate and styrene, copolymeric acrylic emulsion or sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose structurizing additive, pigments, finely ground talc filler, dispersing, preserving, anticorrosive and foam suppressing additives, 26% ammonia, antifreeze, and drinking water. Composition further comprises, as moisture-reducing additives, sodium methyl siliconate which includes water repellent organosilicon liquid and micronized barium sulfate, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: 50% copolymeric acrylic emulsion of methyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate and methacrylic acid or copolymeric styrene acrylic emulsion of H-butyl acrylate and styrene, 45-47; copolymeric acrylic emulsion, 3.50; or sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose structurizing additive, 0.30-0.33; pigments, 15-17; finely ground talc filler, 2.5-3.5; dispersing additive 0.20; preserving additive, 0.15; anticorrosive additive, 0.20; foam suppressing additive, 0.02; antifreeze, 2.25; hydrophobilizing organosilicon liquid (sodium methyl siliconate, 0.80-0.90; active micronized barium sulfate filler; 8.0-9.0; 26% ammonia, 0.70-0.85; and the drinking water balance. EFFECT: new aqueous dispersive paint having improved phisyco-chemical and service properties, better light resistance and higher moisture resistance, reduced foam formation during preparation of paint and wider range of raw materials used. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
