FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: circuit breaker has frame built up of two parallel channel bars mounting vertical insulating posts arranged in parallel pairs. Vacuum arc-control chambers accommodating fixed and movable contacts are placed between posts on upper and lower supports. Lower supports have through holes passing insulating control rods of movable contacts connected to turning levers of transfer mechanism mounted between wide flanges of channel bar. One of bars mounts in its channel making solenoid actuating hinge-and-lever operating mechanism whose plane is horizontal and parallel to wide flange of channel bar. Each of upper supports is box-shaped with its bottom up and with fixed- contact lead connected inside it. Each of lower supports is box- shaped with bottom up and with movable contact lead connected to its inner surface. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost of circuit breaker. 4 cl, 3 dwg
