FIELD: electrical engineering; contactless DC and AC generators and motors. SUBSTANCE: electrical machine has stator 1 whose Z teeth 2 carry m-phase winding 3 and rotor 5 with 2p alternating poles. According to invention, conductors of different phases are spaced apart; stator tooth number Z is multiple of phase number m; tooth number Z and rotor pole number 2p are chosen so as to ensure that difference between them is (l), where l is minimal integer number. In this case, m- phase winding having l coil groups in each phase is wound in alternating directions and stator teeth of one phase shifted through 180 deg/l are wound cumulatively when l is odd number and differentially when l is even number; phase shift αm is found from expression αm= π/m, where m = 2l; αm= [3-(-1)m/2]•π/m at m = (2l + 1), where l = 1, 2 .... EFFECT: improved torque, reduced loss and mass of active materials, improved reliability, reduced static moment on shaft. 10 cl
