FIELD: agriculture, in particular, cow milking equipment. SUBSTANCE: teat cup has radiation source positioned on teat cup bottom and adapted for generating radiation flux which is supplied to udder teat. Light signal is reflected from teat to radiation transducer which detects offset of teat cup axis relative to udder teat axis. Radiation transducer supplies information to control unit which controls displacement of teat cup by changing position of manipulator to center teat cup relative to udder teat. Arrangement of radiation source on teat cup bottom and of radiation transducer on manipulator grip allows teat cup to be precisely fit onto teats. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved regulation of teat cup position. 2 dwg
