FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to windshield wipers, their support strip and method of manufacturing of windshield wipers. Windshield wiper has lever executing vibratory motions and frame 1 connected to lever in which cleaning member 3 is installed reinforced by at least one supporting strip 4 fitted in longitudinal slot 5 made in cleaning member 3. Strip is furnished with at least one grip 2. Grip 2 partly encloses supporting strip 4 and upper part of cleaning member 3. Cross steps 8, 9 are designed for holding strip 4. Supporting strip 4 is flattened at a certain distance from its end 7 on part of its length. Steps 8, 10 are made on flattened part 6 by cutting out material. Proposed method of manufacture of windshield wiper comes to flattening of supporting strip on part of its length and cutting out material to form steps on flattened part.
